We’re thrilled to welcome Vibhu “Vibz” Gairola to the Israel Foulon Wong LLP team!

Vibz obtained his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University and has practised in employment, labour and human rights law since his call to the Ontario Bar in 2021.

Vibz provides both employees and employers with tailored and effective advice relating to numerous workplace issues, including wrongful and constructive dismissals, terminations and severance, employment standards compliance and claims, human rights matters and accommodations, employment and contractor agreements, workplace policies and procedures, occupational health and safety matters and the interpretation and application of collective agreements. Vibz has both advised on and conducted workplace investigations, where his prior experience as a journalist and fact-checker proves particularly useful. Having lived in Singapore and India before settling in Canada, Vibz possesses a high level of cultural literacy that allows him to easily navigate complex workplace dynamics, and he is experienced in addressing intersectional and complex circumstances.

Vibz has appeared at the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice and the Small Claims Court in addition to various tribunals. Vibz articled at a national employment law and litigation firm and worked at a regional full-service firm on a range of civil litigation matters prior to joining Israel Foulon Wong LLP. At Osgoode Hall Law School, Vibz held numerous leadership positions and earned an essay prize for his analysis on federal labour legislation.

Vibz’s approach as a litigator harnesses his intuitive strength as a communicator and his extensive training in the art of accuracy at Canada’s foremost school of journalism. With prior by-lines in both national and regional publications, Vibz’s media background gives him a unique insight and ability to advise on strategic communications, and he understands how today’s cultural trends turn into tomorrow’s legal issues. Vibz is the president of his school of journalism’s alumni association and he has served as a judge for the National Newspaper Awards.

Vibz speaks English and Hindi fluently and is attempting to recover the Mandarin he was once conversant in. In his spare time, Vibz enjoys exploring Toronto, cooking, and fishing out current and trending news stories despite no longer reporting on them.
