Biography
Krista Kais-Prial has practiced employment law since her call to the bar in 2014. Before joining Israel Foulon in 2017, Krista spent several years practicing both employment law and workplace immigration.
Krista advises and represents both employees and employers on a broad array of issues including workplace policies and procedures, disability legislation, employment standards, hiring and compensation, workplace investigations, human rights, harassment, accommodation, employment agreements, wrongful dismissals and severance packages.
Krista is a regular speaker on topics related to workers’ rights, accommodation and disability issues, employment standards, women in the workplace and gender diversity. She has spoken at events organized by the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, Osgoode Continuing Professional Development, Humber College, RDÉE Ontario, La Maison Francophone Women’s Centre, and the International Young Lawyers’ Association (AIJA). Krista regularly organizes, moderates and speaks at Ontario Bar Association events, and is currently Vice-Chair of the OBA’s Young Lawyers Division and a Member at Large of the Labour & Employment Law section.
In her spare time, Krista is a member of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir and enjoys traveling, yoga, and learning languages.
